All funds raised will support Bernice's Place, the wonderful children's program at the Elizabeth Coalition to House the Homeless. The Coalition is very special to me- when I first moved back home to Elizabeth I worked there in their drop-in center and transitional housing program. At the time, Arly was 2 yrs old, I was pregnant with Ben, and we were helping my mom care for my dad who had Alzheimer's. The Coalition felt like home because it reminded me of my childhood home- the doors were always open to anyone who needed a warm welcome, a safe space, and help and support to make it through a difficult time. Raising funds for The Coalition is a tangible way for me to honor the memory of my parents, Irv and Syl, and celebrate their spirit of unconditional love.
